Just a quick note to say that I received the ring today. It really is as beautiful as I could have hoped. It may 'only' be 29 points, but it actually looks bigger than some of the diamonds that I have seen on the high street with significantly greater weights. The fire is really so nice - I keep gazing at it every five minutes whilst my soon-to-be (I hope) fiancee is at work! The shank itself is exactly what I wanted - very simple and understated but very obviously made with skilled craftsmanship. All I need now is to pluck up the courage to ask her to marry me, which I hope to do this weekend.
